FOUNDER MEMBER OF THE CAMPAIGN FOR THE PROTECTION OF RURAL WALES (CPRW)
Born in London, Cecily moved to Wales when she married. Over the course of her life she campaigned successfully to protect the natural beauty of the North Wales landscape. She founded the Caernarfonshire and Friends of Snowdonia branch of the CPRW and was its Chair for the first 40 years. She was awarded an MBE in 1982. She died aged 92 in 1992.
