Gwen John

ARTIST

Born in Haverfordwest, Gwendolen “Gwen” Mary John is best known for her portrait paintings of anonymous women. She studied at Slade School of Art in London University and spent most of her career in France. Her work is displayed in the National Museum Wales and Tate Britain.
