Hannah Mills
COMPETITIVE SAILOR, 2016 OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALLIST
At eight years old, Hannah Mills started sailing at the Llanishen Sailing Centre, in her home city of Cardiff, after enjoying the sport on a family holiday in Cornwall. She won her first gold medal in 2012 at the 470 World Championships, and won silver at the Olympic Games with Saskia Clark the same summer. Four years later, the pair won at the Olympic Games in Rio, despite the trauma of being robbed at knifepoint in the city during their training. Mills won the Female World Sailor of the Year award in 2016, and was awarded an MBE in the 2017 New Year Honours List.
