Hilary Lappin-Scott

Hilary Lappin-Scott is an international expert in microbial ecology who became the second female President of the Society for General Microbiology in 2009. She campaigns tirelessly for more girls and women to work in science, technology and engineering, delivering a TEDx lecture Move Over, Boys: Why we need more girls/women in STEM Careers in 2016, and winning a WISE Hero award the same year, as well as another from Welsh charity Chwarae Teg in 2017.
