Mavis Nicholson (Formerly Mainwaring)

Mavis Mainwaring, who grew up in Briton Ferry is known as a talk-show presenter for programmes such as Afternoon Plus and Mavis On Four, having interviewed the likes of Elizabeth Taylor, David Bowie and Dudley Moore. She has presented several radio shows including Woman’s Hour and published a number of books. She was the resident agony aunt for The Oldie magazine until 2014.
