Tavi Murray

PROFESSOR OF GLACIOLOGY, DEPUTY PRO-VICE CHANCELLOR AT SWANSEA UNIVERSITY

Beginning her academic career with a first class Physics and Computer Science from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, Tavi Murray is an internationally renowned expert on glaciers, studying the extent to which glaciers are contributing to rises in global sea level, both now and looking into the future. Her work has taken her to the Arctic and the Antarctic, winning her the Polar Medal, with funding for several of her projects awarded by the Leverhulme Trust.
