Valerie Latham
SWIMMER, WINNER OF TWO BRONZE MEDALS AT 1932 LOS ANGELES OLYMPICS
The Cardiff-born Elizabeth Valerie Davies, later known by her married name Valerie Latham, won a gold medal at 15 in the 1927 European Swimming Games as part of the Great Britain 400 metre relay team. She also won two individual bronze medals for Great Britain at the 1932 Olympics, and captured 11 major medals in international competition.
